You may submit anything from your professional and/or personal life that you would like to make funnier. Examples include internal communications, marketing campaigns, toasts, speeches, PowerPoints, bios, cover letters, roasts, monologues, and more. We specialize in embedding a comedic voice into your entire brand whether you are an organization or individual. We also offer subscription services for recurring joke writing needs.
You bet! We charge by the range of jokes – not the project – and you are free to allocate your joke requests however you’d like.
We do not encourage this. By submitting at least a draft of your content, we are able to quickly determine your voice, point of view, and intended audience. Without these variables it will be much harder to craft jokes that fit your personality and sensibilities.
We believe any piece of content can be punched up for the better! That said, if we deem a project to be hateful, illegal, overly inappropriate, etc. we reserve the right to refuse service and return payment at our discretion.
Since we will read your project in its entirety in order to isolate the best opportunities for jokes, we reserve the right to negotiate an additional reading fee with you for especially long content.
Standard turnaround is 7 days, unless a project is exceptionally long and complex. We are happy to work with your deadline whenever possible. That said, we have expedited rates for 3-6 day, 2 day, and 1 day turnaround.
The Terms Of Service states a one-time license of each contracted joke for your specific piece of content. The material belongs to Laugh Dealer at all times, Laugh Dealer is free to repurpose derivations of any of the jokes for other projects (i.e. a comedian using a similar premise or punchline on stage in their stand up). That said, most jokes are so specific to a piece of content that they will not be able to be used again elsewhere, and all mention and/or association with clients will be removed from any subsequent use.
Due to the one-time license, any subsequent usage must be requested and discussed by emailing the request to [email protected]. Additional negotiation may apply and will be on a case by case basis.
A free consultation is provided to align the client and Laugh Dealer for success, and the deal you enter is for one thorough iteration of our service. You can always email us at [email protected] with any concerns or complaints, which we will be happy to discuss.
Our delivery will be sent via email, with the jokes inserted on an updated version of the document you submit. We prefer easy to edit documents, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Final Draft.
We find that 15-20 minutes is the average and appropriate length to discuss and understand each project’s comedy needs. Anything longer than that feels too much like a friendship, and you should be wary of strangers!
Comedy is subjective and audiences can be inexplicably awful, but that’s why we take our process so seriously. We manage your risk by taking special care to ensure our jokes fit your specific project, point of view, and intended audience.
Because comedy is subjective, not all jokes are created equal in your mind! The range encourages Laugh Dealer to supply you with a variety of options, without feeling the unnecessary pressure of each joke having an identical value.
For spoken content, our joke delivery includes a “Pro Tips” document to help with your joke delivery! If you still would like more assistance, we do offer coaching via video conference for an additional fee.

Our service does everything in our power to prevent you from bombing, but even the best comedians in the world bomb from time to time. We are mere mortals and cannot prevent hecklers, people with zero sense of humor, and other such enemies of the state. We can only guarantee that our jokes will give you a promising advantage.

These Services are accessible at www.laughdealer.com and any other websites through which Laugh Dealer makes the Services available (collectively, the “Site”). Services are also available as applications for mobile, tablet, and other smart devices and application program interfaces (collectively, the “Application”).
